Street Conversation XXXVI

Today I was so happy I got a job as a personal instructor that I started to make fun of people who don’t practice anything…actually I don’t practice any sports, it was all a lie…well I still made fun of those people but…yes, I’m a bad person.

Sergiu: Ce sporturi practici?

What sports do you practice?

Girl: Volei, înotul și mersul cu rolele.

Volleyball, swimming and rollerblading.

I like to see them on TV.

Grammar XXXVI

Today we’re going to have two very interesting verbs: A face (to make), which you probably already know from talking to people and a se prăbuși (to collapse). Here they are:

Some great examples are:

Fac sport, fac niște mâncare. Se va prăbuși în flăcări!!

I’m exercising, I’m preparing some food. It’s going to go down in flames!!

Dialogue XXXVI

Sergiu: Faci sport??

You’re exercising? (I asked Kati this, seeing as she was doing push-ups)

Yes, I also like to ride the bike, to run and take long walks.

I too walk to my job and home.

Kati: Bine.

Good. I also want to go to the gym starting next month.

Sergiu: Bravo!

Bravo! You motivate me to become a better person.

Kati: Știu, într-o bună zi vei face tracțiuni mai multe decât mine.

I know, one day you’ll perform more pull-ups than me.

Sergiu: Aștept acel moment cu nerăbdare.

I await that moment with impatience.

    1. I don’t know, I was wondering why I don’t have gymnastics, my favorite sport! They’re both added now 🙂
